About Us

Austin Design Lab started out in a garage as a custom furniture company and in three short years we've grown exponentially in vision and scope. Our current projects include bringing conscious tourism to a castle town in Campania, Italy, designing a jungle gazebo for a prospective botanical garden in Costa Rica, hand cutting and laser engraving limestone markers for the University of Texas’s Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center and creating art for local retail stores like the Austin Visitors Center.

A crowning achievement was winning people's choice award for our exhibit Mars Base where over 100,000 people from all over the world visited and got to experience how Texas native plants and beams from a century old bridge could transport them to mars.  To make this happen over 40 people and businesses galvanized their wide ranging expertise from an Astrophysicist who had done work in a biosphere in Utah to early child development and physical education specialists who made sure Mars Base was challenging yet safe for the kids.

If you have a large or small out of the box project, or just something you want done really well and with loving care, please contact us for a conversation.
